This is new to 20.10.04.1, it was working fine in 20.10.04 -- the
upgrade broke it.
The problem is bad in bash but is particularly bad in gdb -tui. In
addition to having to press ^L a lot, I now have to press ^l then space
to get the final paint to occur.
In bash, if I have a long directory and do "ls -l". The bottom part of
the screen shows up white with no text on it. Then, if I press space or
Enter, I get the rest of the output plus my command prompt.
this also seems timing related. If the amount of output pending is
small, it paints ok, it only seems to happen when there is a lot of
pending data to print -- it doesn't print when it is supposed to until
the next cycle that causes a flush of the the buffers.
