You have been subscribed to a public bug:
the kubuntu-9.10-rc-desktop-i386 live cd starts with no problems, the
kde-desktop looks good
but there is no bar at the bottom, just a gray area.
when i click, where the menu-icon should be, the menu pops up, but it is just a
gray area.
when i try to start a program with alt-f2, the commandline pops up just gray.
when i start with the boot-option ~save graphics~ ("abgesicherter
grafikmodus"), everything is fine.
when i start in a (virtualbox) virtual machine, everything is fine.
