Just stop using those fraking fglrx drivers. AMD/ATI won't fix them...and ubuntu devs can't do anything for you in this case ! You can complain against AMD/ATI directly ;) Fortunately, AMD/ATI has recently released some documentation of their cards, so the open source drivers (radeon and radeonhd) are pretty well advanced now...and there should be completely usable (3D, hd video decoding) with the future version of ubuntu (the one that'll be shipped with kernel 2.6.32). Watch phoronix.com for more information about the status of radeon/radeonhd drivers ;)
