Public bug reported:

After updating Ubuntu on a Dell XPS 15 7590 from version 22.04 to 22.10
Kinetic (presently running 5.19.0-27), there are multiple display
issues.

- Brightness is set at 100%
- Brightness controls do not work, they are assigned different types of
controls, brithness down button maximizes an internet window, brightness up
shows the page code (see video file attached).
- Display driver is reported to have been installed manually, which obviously
it was not, graphic adapter drivers (Nouveau or NVidia legacy) cannot be
selected (see screenshot attached).

Obviously all these issues remain after switching from XOrg to Wayland
(runnung Ubuntu on Wayland) and rebooting the laptop.
