Since this bug had been idle for over 3 years and the upstream bug
closed as fixed in Xorg 1.20 (1.20.0 actually), I think this should be
closed as fixed in Ubuntu 20.04 which shipped with Xorg 1.20.8. The new
issue in comment #99 is being tracked in bug 2004104.
