I can verify the issue is fixed following the steps: 1) Enable -proposed pocket, and upgrade mesa 2) Run `stress-ng --stack 0 --mmap 0 --aggressive --timeout 300` 3) See if GNOME is frozen 4) Use top to observe CPU usage
With the new mesa, GNOME is no longer hung and there's no high CPU usage anymore. ** Tags removed: verification-needed ** Tags added: done-needed ** Tags removed: verification-needed-jammy ** Tags added: verification-done-jammy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1990089 Title: Screen freeze when performing memory stress in Wayland mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1990089/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
