Hi! I've encountered a workaround for this problem. I've created a /etc/X11/xorg.conf file, and I specified on it the virtual resolution of my display. Then I've restarted, and I able to play videos correctly with Totem and MPlayer using XV video output.
At least in my case, the xorg.conf file has the following content: Section "Screen" Identifier "Configured Screen Device" Device "Configured Video Device" SubSection "Display" Virtual 2880 900 EndSubSection EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" EndSection HTH!! ** Attachment added: "xorg.conf" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34428351/xorg.conf -- Black video playback with dual screen enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460616 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
