You have been subscribed to a public bug: Similar to #424257, I am unable to boot the amd64 version of Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala live cd. The 32 bit works fine.
I expect at least some console output after removing both quiet and splash from the boot line, however I receive none. The computer will boot to the grub just fine, and I am able to select my language, and how I want the CD to be booted. Either 'install' or 'run without installing' give the same error. The error being a blank background with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner of the screen. I have let it sit there for an hour once and it did not move past. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nv (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 boot cannot cd live -- Karmic Live CD amd64 will not boot https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/459937 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nv in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
