Public bug reported: On every reboot the following messages are shown in the journal:
/usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[14875]: (II) NVIDIA(GPU-0): Deleting GPU-0 /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[14875]: (WW) xf86CloseConsole: KDSETMODE failed: Input/output error /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[14875]: (WW) xf86CloseConsole: VT_GETMODE failed: Input/output error This is consistent on every reboot on several machines (including a cloud VM and metal). I was able to observe it on mantic and on jammy. Is this a result of the GPU being deleted prematurely? ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Low Status: New ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2026120 Title: xf86CloseConsole: KDSETMODE failed: Input/output error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/2026120/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
