Some additional testing done: * If at cold boot I boot Windows 11 Pro first and then Linux (Debian or Ubuntu), Linux boots properly. * If at cold boot I add "nomodeset" to kernel parameters in Grub, boot process will hang as well. It's even worse with this param, because ctrl+alt+del does not reboot machine.
I believe it must be related to either firmware loading, i915 module or both. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2037176 Title: not able to cold boot with ARC770M To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/2037176/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
