Public bug reported:
i cannot start GUI, mouse cursor gets stuck when starting it, before reaching
lightdm greeter display.
The only way to restart is the REISUB keyboard sequence.

kernel 6.6.15 mainstream (not ubuntu specific)
hardware:
Acer E1-522 laptop
AMD A6-5200 4-core CPU with AMD Radeon 8400HD GPU
16 GB DDR3 RAM
Server does not close flawlessly but freezes system, other than the
REISUB escape sequence
