I've been working around this for myself and others by setting AccelMethod to EXA. Can I assume that if this works, it's preferable to setting RenderAccel off? I'm just guessing that disabling RenderAccel would hurt performace, worse than switching to EXA? I could use a little clarification here for when I'm helping people deal with this on the forums and IRC...
