Hello All,

I have an old PC with Intel 845 Graphics :
======================================================================================
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation
82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device [8086:2562] (rev

        Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr-
Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx-
        Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort-
<MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx-
        Latency: 0

        Capabilities: <access denied>
        Kernel modules: i915
======================================================================================

I added 'nomodeset' in '/boot/grub/menu.lst' and did an 'update-grub' :

======================================================================================
title           Ubuntu 9.10, kernel 2.6.31-14-generic
uuid            2ff1733b-ba80-4e69-afab-5d7148963775
kernel          /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-14-generic
root=UUID=2ff1733b-ba80-4e69-afab-5d7148963775 ro quiet splash nomodeset
initrd          /boot/initrd.img-2.6.31-14-generic
quiet
======================================================================================

The problem still PERSISTS on my PC.

Should I just downgrade to Jaunty where Video Playback was fine?

Best regards,
~Previr
