Public bug reported:

X server suddenly crashed.  Configuration including vmware player has
worked for several months.  Did not do anything unusual as such.  May be
caused by running out of memory as I had both Eclipse and IntelliJ IDEA
and vmware player up at the same time.

Stacktrace from X process is present in logfile which is attached to
this bug.
