Geir Ove Myhr, I tried kernel v2.6.33-rc and exactly the same thing happened: desktop loaded and I could move the mouse around until I moved it to the top over a hardrive error icon at the top (my second drive is bad) . I will attempt to enter this on your table on the page you set up Dave
