Public bug reported:

When logging in, firefox appeared but the gnome panels did not. The
user had a LCD display that showed a background and only a single
firefox window. (Firefox was returning to a saved location, which was
a local flash (.swf) file.)

After a few seconds, nothing happened, so the user hit file->quit on
firefox. Firefox disappeared, leaving him with only a background.
The screen was unresponsive to right-clicks.

The following errors were logged at around that time:

[ 7280.255211] usb 2-3: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3

I then restarted gdm and everything worked smoothly.

There is clearly a flash bug here somewhere, either in the user's code and/or
in npviewer.bin.
But, there is also an X bug, because X freezes.
