This kind of bug is usually tied to a particular monitor model, so I'm not surprised that it is not a problem with a E177FP.
I'm sorry I mistyped the kernel version. It was supposed to be 2.6.33-rc5 (but now 2.6.33-rc6 is out so that is better). Another test which is slightly more work is to test the current Lucid version, either by installing upgrading, installing it on a separate partition, or testing it from a LiveCD/LiveUSB image. If it turns out that it is not a problem there, we don't need to do any more tests, otherwise, we need the result from the 2.6.33-rc6 kernel to find out if there is a fix upstream already. -- [Q45] Autodetection results in reduced resolutions available - i915 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/514234 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
