There's no automatic way to revert to an earlier version of the PPA as a whole, but you can revert packages individually by manually installing the older .deb files. And since only the -intel package has been updated lately, that's the only one you'll have to revert.
To install a .deb file manually, type sudo dpkg -i <filename> The file you want might still be in /var/cache/apt/archives. If not, here is the archive of past versions: https://launchpad.net/~brian-rogers/+archive/graphics-testing/+packages?field.name_filter=&field.status_filter=&field.series_filter=karmic It's good to save the files (or copy them out of /var/cache/apt/archives where they might be deleted automatically) ahead of time in case X won't boot with the new version. That way you'll already have the old package and can install it from the recovery console. Also, to revert the PPA entirely and go back to Karmic, install ppa-purge and run this command: sudo ppa-purge ppa:brian-rogers/graphics-testing -- [i845G] Karmic stops responding a few minutes after log in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/456902 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is the registrant for xf86-video-intel. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
