Stepped through some guides for setting up a Microsoft Intellimouse
Explorer 3.0.

Issues began after restarting the X server.

==================================

5215.600365

usb 2-6: device descriptor read/all, error -71

==================================

5215.660061

hub 2-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 6

==================================

5223.8924253 & also 5223.948260 reported the same issue

[sdb] Assuming drive cache: write through

==================================

PulseAudo configued for per-user sessions

==================================

All of these errors occured after restarting x server from command line

sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart

==================================

I had an external hdd connected upon restarting x server

removed hdd and tried restarting again, then...

Restart freezes after reaching this point

* Checking battery state...                 [OK]

==================================

Received this both times

PulseAudio configured for per-user sessions

==================================

Then gave me an error which I wasn't able to write down completely

* Will now halt

* Unable to iterate IDE divices...

==================================

Not exactly sure what "went down," slightly new to Linux and
not really sure what all of that meant. Pretty sure some of those
errors occured due to my external HDD being plugged in upon
X server restart, but also maybe due to the way I configured my
mouse in /etc/X11/xorg.conf and others, which the steps I took
can be found in these guides :

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=28374

and others which are linked to this.

==================================

And if anybody has a PROPER way to set up my mouse for use
(the scroll feature no longer works) I would be extremely grateful.

--Thanks!
