The T410 ThinkPad has a WXGA+ display that supports 1440 x 900.  Ubuntu
is showing the display as "Unknown" and only shows up to a 1280 x 800
resolution. I'm also unable to clone the display onto an external
monitor.

I tried using the latest 2.10 version of the intel xorg driver available
from PPA (version 2.9 came with Ubuntu 9.10) at:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa

But I still have the problem. Here is some potentially relevant
information:

$ Linux 2.6.31-19-generic #56-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 28 02:39:34 UTC 2010
x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ lspci -nn | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Arrandale
Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0046] (rev 02)
