Thank you for providing that information. It seems that Ubuntu is definitely detecting your graphics card, there is just something preventing it from working properly. I have marked this as a bug affecting 'xserver-xorg-video-intel'. If you could please run 'apport- collect 522820', information regarding your xorg setup will be automatically added to this report so we can possibly see where the problem is coming from.
