You have been subscribed to a public bug: I installed Ubuntu 8.10 on a Sony VAIO PCG-F409. Refresh rate was 60Hz and in the "Screen Resolution" utility, I only had this option in the drop-down menu. Further research proved xorg.conf didn't have the proper information. I added the following:
HorizSync: 31.5 - 82.0 VertRefresh 40 - 150 Depth: 16 bits Using proper X.org synthax and it solved my problem. I can use 75Hz as before. Thanks in advance for fixing it. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Wrong refresh rates on Sony VAIO PCG-F409 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/346440 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
