Public bug reported:
Tried with Samsung Syncmaster 2443 and 305T - in both cases, enabling fglx
video acceleration results in a black screen with no video. I tried aticonfig
--initial -f from a grub rescue login, the result was exactly the same. The
only way I was able to restore my desktop was to completely remove the fglrx
drivers via the command:
sudo apt-get remove --purge xorg-driver-fglrx
There was no mouse pointer evident, <CTL><ALT><BS> didn't seem to work,
nor did the magic SYSREQ REIUB sequence.
