There would probably be the same conflict between fglrx and the -ati driver. In theory it should be possible to have both drivers installed. The fglrx package should take care that the fglrx module is only loaded if the fglrx driver is going to be used.
The xorg drivers do not have any conflicts between them, so this is purely an issue with the proprietary driver package. ** Package changed: xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd (Ubuntu) => fglrx- installer (Ubuntu) -- radeonhd package should conflict with fglx driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/537481 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to fglrx-installer in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
