I think the automatic call for testing reached this bug report in error.
What we really would like to have tested is an updated Lucid with the
newest drm-intel-next kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/drm-intel-next/. This is not because we believe the bug is
fixed there, but because those kernels have better debugging
capabilities. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/MainlineBuilds for
more information about the mainline builds.

WIth the newest drm-intel-next kernel, we would like a manual GPU dump
after the hang. For this, openssh-server needs to be installed and
another computer must be available to log in to the affected computer.
After the hang, ssh in and copy the files
/sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state, /var/log/Xorg.0.log, and the
output of the command `dmesg`. If you filed one of the duplicate bug
reports, attach the files there, since that makes it easier to keep
track of which files come from where. See more information about this at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/Freeze#How%20to%20Get%20a%20Batchbuffer%20Dump%20%28-intel%20only%29
.

With this information, upstream will be able to look at it and we will
get better understanding of how reliable the automatically captured
dumps are (they have only been around for a short while, and we don't
fully trust them yet, since there are a few things that may go wrong
during the capture).
