What does 'cat /proc/fb' show on this system?
This looks an awful lot like bug #540256, which we respun the i386/amd64
desktop and netbook images for, but not armel. Sorry about that, I
asked Tobin yesterday morning whether the ARM hardware we targeted works
reliably with the plymouth graphical splash, and he thought it all did,
but it seems this might not be the case.
