Hy! I did some testing around this: Lucid Beta1 livecd, vga=792: proper 1024x768 console and graphical boot Lucid up2date install, vga=792: proper 1024x768 console and graphical boot Lucid Beta1 livecd, vga=865: proper 1280x800 console and graphical boot Lucid up2date install, vga=865: like without the vga parameter (low res console, and text boot)
I'm listed the loaded modules when the livecd loaded and with the vga parameter it uses vesafb correctly instead of nouveau as expected... So why can vesafb work on 1280x800 with the livecd, and can't on the installed system? And why can vesafb work on 1024x768, and can't on 1280x800 on the installed system? -- vga=791 kernel line option breaks tty consoles https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/391215 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
