I booted the computer - which is described in #94 and uses U-9.04. Made a change to the Visual Effects menu. Went to System - Preferences - Appearance - Visual Effects and selected "none". Then booted the system using the CD-ROM w/ the U-9.10 ISO file. Selected "Try Ubuntu Without Change to Your Computer' and the demo ran fine. No system freeze this time.
