You have been subscribed to a public bug: Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet
My system is Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty fully updated as of Tue Mar 31 00:23:30 UTC After booting the system and loging in (this is the only current login and no other programs are running) I click on the fast user switch applet and choose another user. The system immediately hangs with a black screen. Ctrl-Alt-Fn does not work to switch to another virtual terminal and the only thing I can do is perform a hard reset. The machine is a new Dell with an Intel Quad Core Q8200 processor, 6GB RAM. Video card is an ATI Radeon HD 3450. Monitor is a Dell S2009W. I am using the DVI outputs from the card to the monitor. I am using the latest fglrx driver (2:8.600-0ubuntu1) Other information: Architecture: x86_64 Date: 27 March 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 (kernel 2.6.28-11-generic #38-Ubuntu SMP Fri March 27 10:01:17 UTC 2009) ExecutablePath: /usr/lib/fast-user-switch-applet/fast-user-switch-applet Package: fast-user-switch-applet 2.24.0-0ubuntu10 uname: Linux samson 2.6.28-11-genereic #38-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 27 10:01:17 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux If there is any more information I can provide please let me know.
