Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) Release: 10.04 Kernel 2.6.32-19-generic Normal boot screen goes black appears to happen before gdm, does not appear to respond to network. Change grub setting to radeon.modeset=0 allows system to boot with no known issues. Also tested with the following (grub) radeon.modeset=0 stop gdm rmmod radeon modprobe radeon modeset=1 same issue as above, no graphics, system still responsive (ssh) bug report was ran in this state.
