Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
After upgrade my system (Netbook mobii with Ubuntu 9.04 installed and 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GME Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) with 256Mb) neither mplayer nor vlc nor Totem works (before they did). Searching I've found some solutions on http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=32259 where you need to modify xorg.conf. My surprise came when I saw xorg.conf had this lines added: SubSection "Display" Virtual 2080 1024 EndSubSection I just comented them, restarted xorg and now mplayer, vlc and Totem work fine ;-) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 Package: xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu18 ProcEnviron: LANG=es_ES.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersion: Linux version 2.6.28-18-generic (bui...@rothera) (gcc version 4.3.3 (Ubuntu 4.3.3-5ubuntu4) ) #60-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 12 04:40:52 UTC 2010 SourcePackage: xorg Uname: Linux 2.6.28-18-generic i686 ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- mplayer reports X11 error: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/556278 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
