This problem still exists in Ubuntu 10.04 beta 2 from http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04/ubuntu-10.04-beta2-desktop-i386.iso . The openchrome driver in this Ubuntu is still 0.2.904 which is the last release version at http://openchrome.org/releases/ .
