Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
Hello, I have been trying to make this work but for some reasons I can't. I had to install the latest 2.6.33 kernel in order to solve some issues with the i3 and also to support the TRIM on ssd. The motherboard is a Gigabyte h57 with Clarkdale i3 processor (and on board video). The TV it's an old TV Toshiba 42WLG66 which is max resolution is 1080i. I tried to force the ModeLine with a xorg.conf file but with same results. I know also that this "video card" is only supported with intel drivers 2.10 and even better with the latest ones 2.11. Currently Ubuntu delivers 2.9 ones. I tried a ppa package several times which broke my all installation with no more LAN (so for a HDTV PC quite annoying:) ) Any idea or issue spotted? Many thanks XabiX ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: xorg 1:7.5+5ubuntu1 Uname: Linux 2.6.33-020633-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Apr 22 18:28:44 2010 ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xorg Symptom: display system: distro: Ubuntu codename: lucid architecture: x86_64 kernel: 2.6.33-020633-generic ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid resolution -- intel i3 and Toshiba TV 1080i not displayed correctly fallback to 1280x720 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/568533 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
