I'd put a general purpose "8xx freezes" note in there a while back, and
it looks perfectly well suited for this.  It does not itemize the
workarounds except for using vesa, but provides a link to a wiki page
with workarounds.  I think that's probably better since it gives us some
flexibility in steering users more accurately as fixes become available.

So I'm closing the release-notes task as good-nuff.
