Hi

RH, correct, i am compiling an old driver. that is one of the 2 that work on
Karmic. included sis driver does not work at all.
GH, that is a 32-bit driver which I tried to compile under lucid...

make[2]: *** No rule to make target `sis6...@driver_man_suffix@', needed
by `all-am'. Stop.

in spite i have xutils-dev

Note, selecting xutils-dev instead of xorg-build-macros
xutils-dev is already the newest version.

dead end, mates...have to wait either for a bug fix or somebody
compiling a driver in debian, not that the bug there is closed.

thanks for your feedback

Antonio
