Hello, i running a fresh install of kubuntu Lucid 10.04 on x86 64 , well it's the same machine, the bug look to be fixed, i tried with and without Nvidia drivers, so i am not really sure that was the Nvidia drivers, look like KDE bug, with KDE 4.4, it never crash or freeze my desktop.
It's a really good news, it was my fear, since this bug has really damaged my system early . But still a big problem for karmic users anyway.
