Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xorg

I have set my own keyboard shortcuts for vertical and horizontal
maximising of windows: I use Ctrl+Shift+h for horizontal resizing and
Ctrl+Shift+v for vertical resizing. It normally works in toggle mode: I
can repeatedly maximise and minimise a window. However if I allow for
visual effects (either normal or extra) then I can only maximise the
window (using the shortcut) and can not go back with its size. It is
annoying of course.
