Public bug reported:

I am using Karmic Koala.
Error occurred while upgrading from Karmic to Lucid. This upgrading error was
followed by a window which declared the upgrade failed, and said that my system
was now in an unusable state. However, I am still able to use the system. (I am
submitting this error report now)

I also have been using ATi Drivers for the ATi video card for my laptop. Here's
the setup:
Lenovo Thinkpad T400
Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 (2.8GHz)
ATI Radeon HD 3400
3 GB Ram
