I've upgraded from Hardy to 9.04. Although the computer works OK the fonts are
"degrading" becomming increasingly unreadable the longer the computer has been
used. This bug (or a similar?) has been reported for Intrepid.
I've added the following line to the xorg.conf file

        Option "AccelMethod" "false"

which seems to slow the degradation of the fonts somewhat. However, the
problem remains.

When using Firefox I can buy time by changing the font size using ctrl+
of ctrl-.

The problem seems to affect fonts in all programs.
