In that case, you might as well move on to the next step in debugging.

1) Install the drm-intel-next kernel [1]. Download and install the _all
headers, amd64 headers, and amd64 image.

2) Add debugging information to dmesg.
gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub
Add 'drm.debug=0x02' to the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line so it reads
'GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash drm.debug=0x02"
Save and exit, then run
sudo update-grub

3) On your next crash, upload these six files:
/sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/i915_error_state, the output of 'dmesg',
/var/log/dmesg, /var/log/kern.log, /var/log/Xorg.0.log, and
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old
