Binary package hint: xorg

After upgrading from kubuntu karmic to lucid I began to experience a
strange problem. After booting everything is fine for some time. Then at
unpredictable moment graphics goes weird. Resolution and refresh rate
did not change. No such problems when using windows xp (so it should not
be the hardware itself). After rebooting graphics is again ok for some
time.

When I installed fglrx package blinking was gone, but I don't like this
solution.

Asked this question on KubuntuForums, but got no answer
