Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Not sure if this is a bug, per se, but here goes.
If I switch to a resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio(800 x 600, 640 x
480) I see a blank screen. However, this is not the case if I switch to
1024 x 768, which also uses a 4:3 aspect ratio:
