You have been subscribed to a public bug: What happens is when working on my Ubuntu 10.04, at a certain moment it's like my keyboard shift key is stuck. That means, click becomes select. Scroll in firefox becomes back and forward. Quite anoying and somewhat hazardous.
I don't think it's a hardware problem. I have no idea what triggers it. "ctrl+caps lock" seems to undo it. keyboard layout: Belgium ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: x11-xkb-utils 7.5+1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-22.36-generic 2.6.32.11+drm33.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-22-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Jun 23 17:31:29 2010 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: x11-xkb-utils ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug lucid -- Entire UI(Gnome+apps) behaves like shift button is continually pressed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/597753 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
