New update. I have changed from an ATI Radeon 9250 AGP(Asus) to a Nvidia(Club 3D) 6200 AGP 256MB. I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64 on this same PC. I also installed all the updates. I'm using at the moment the Nvidia binary drivers from the repos, installed through Jockey(nvidia-current). System is still crashing after a few hours.
I've tested/installed Trisquel GNU/Linux 3.5 AMD64 on this same PC with the ATI 9250 and the Nvidia 6200, didn't install binary drivers, didn't configure 3D support. Left the PC on for a couple of days. System didn't crash with any of the graphic card. Could the problem be with Ubuntu 10.04 xorg or the kernel latest versions? -- Ubuntu 10.04 crashes after a few hours(after the initial login) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/587066 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
