You have been subscribed to a public bug: It would be nice to have the xsettings for nvidia show up in System Settings, right next to the display in kubuntu. These are apparently just .desktop files. I suppose the nvidia package should create the .desktop file ... If a person does not have KDE, that .desktop file can be there without harming much of anything.
