Hi!
After upgrading from 10.04 (which had some issues, but worked all right)
to the 10.10 beta i had this problem from the first restart on.
I never see a splash screen while starting ubuntu, instead:
[12.724701] k8temp 0000:00:18.3: no usable aperture found
is the first error message displayed.
X doesn't start but everything else seems alright.
so after logging in, and typing "startx" i get
