Brian, bug # is 633593 which I think is what you were asking for.  This
is i845G.

i915.modeset=1, boots fine, KMS on.  Runs O.K.

xorg.conf  with "vesa" boots fine.  Runs O.K.

Default gets "no screen found".  Command line works so Xorg.0.log is available.
