Ubuntu 10.04, package not identified.
I have reported in forum
'http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=9782591#post9782591'. I have a
gtktest result of 28.04.
The machine is old (Dell Inspiron 8200 1G memory, 100GB disk, running NVIDIA
version 96), with three five partitions, Windows XP, Windows 7, ubuntu 10.04,
/home and /swap.
Significantly:
1. Machine runs Windows XP and windows 7 peppily and well (same firefox load of
tabs)
2. Machine used to run 9.04 well (but with no skype)
3. Install of 9.10 retaining /home results in sluggish UI
4. Install of 9.04 retaining /home results in good performance on UI, until
Update Manager suggested to update which I did. Result same sluggish UI as in
9.10. Update manager suggests to upgrade.
5. Upgrade to 10.04 fails to boot.
6. Install 10.04 from .iso retaining /home. Result is sluggish UI . but I have
a functioning Skype

I have also tried all new distribution of Suse 11.3, Fedora 11,
Mandrake, XMint, with the same sluggish problems.

So now I am suspecting Xorg or the Kernel. My first hunch is new changes
for multi-touch have screwed thing up.

ubuntu-bug and aport want a package identified, I am unable to identify
package
