Hello, The following worked for me.
aptitude install libgnome-window-settings1=1:2.30.0-0ubuntu4 I didn't try any of the other fixes. I am on an Asus UL80JT with integrated Geforce 310M and Core i3 running Lucid x64. Stock kernels and everything. After that command and a reboot, compiz acts like it should.
