Same kind of problem here: Whether I try to install Kubuntu 10.10 RC (Ubiquity installer) or just to test it with the live CD, the system freezes. By freezing, I mean: - no refresh of the screen - keyboard not responding (even the "NumLock" key) - mouse pointer still movable, but click doesn't work The only thing left to do is to hit the reset button of my computer. Actually, I've experienced the same problem with versions 10.04 and 10.04.1. I suspect this could have something to do with the nouveau driver. My computer has an Intel Pentium Dual Core CPU and a NVidia GeForce 6600GT graphic card.
